I manage multiple compliance related projects and initiatives
to ensure appropriate processes, procedures and controls are adequately
designed, implemented or remediated to meet audit and compliance expectations
and legal requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability
Act (HIPAA). I work closely with the compliance managers from Health
& Wellness and the Benefits area to provide a proactive approach to
compliance matters to prevent and future findings. I provide HIPAA Security
Rule guidance to the ISD Risk Analysis & Management team that executes
the Security Risk and Compliance Review (SRCR) process at Wal-mart.

Primarily responsible for managing scope, budget and
duration of multiple medium to large, complex projects focused on delivering
code enhancements and or new technology solutions for the global warehouse
management platform used by Walmart's distribution centers (DC's). Job
responsibilities included effectively interfacing with end users, business
analysts, technicians, and developers to identify, mitigate, prioritize, and
manage resolution of project issues, project trade-offs, and risks. All
projects were successfully governed within the guidelines identified in the
Information Systems Development Life Cycle (ISDLC). My projects serviced the
Brazil and Chile markets for both dry and perishables DC’s.
